Keep Your Hands Off My Shaft!
That will be the battle cry from your closest friends when they fight to keep these great looking groomsmen gifts away from your other golfer buddies. I once had a prized possession putter stolen from my bag and I was literally unable to get out of bed for a week I was so disappointed. I kept thinking I'd see it in other people's bags and I'd look at the golfers suspiciously. Now if I'd have owned a Personalized Blade Putter that had my name on it, I'd have had a leg to stand on when digging through eighty year-old knickerbocker wearing old men's golfing bags. Make other groomsmen envious when they see this great looking toe-heel zinc head (weighted at 327 grams) putter. A conversation might go as follows, "Hey man, what groomsmen gifts did you get at your buddy's wedding?" - "Um, I got a cool set of headphones. What did you get?" - and you can answer him with a, "I got a highly stylish, highly effective, personalized hand crafted, hickory putter that will win me thousands of dollars every weekend on the course. Have fun with your headphones."" Technorati Tags: groomsmen gifts, guy gifts, golf gear

Golf With Your Credit Card
What will they think of next? First the golf gods built us metal woods, which became titanium drivers and now they've invented a credit card sized device to give as groomsmen gifts or keep for yourself, engineered to hold your marker, divot fixer, groove cleaner for your irons and woods and last but not least it includes a ballpoint pen! We've seen a plethora of different unique and compact designs to hold our most valuable assets while we tour the links and give as groomsmen gifts, but this is just sheer ingenuity at its finest. After you've finished up eighteen with a birdie to win all the skins, you'll pull this slender and sleekly designed all in one card out of your pocket and use the lanyard hole to strap it to your bag. Great groomsmen gifts like this don't need to cost a fortune either. This heavyweight gift item carries a flyweight price tag, but Mister or Miss Golfer doesn't need to know that. They certainly wouldn't guess it by looking at it. Imagine chunking your approach shot or chili dipping your chip shot to the green -- normally you'd do a quick wipe with your golf towel to remove the turf, but now with a built in groove cleaner you can instantly have your irons gleaming before you chunk your next shot with them. How about the beauty of not having a pocket full of jingling pennies that you would normally use to mark your ball on the green? This is a real ball marker, fellas. Don't be too quick to lend it to the other guys in your foursome or you might not get it back -- your best bet is to spread the wealth by giving these as groomsmen gifts. If golf is their game then the tool logic golf card should most definitely be the name. Look forward to hearing your comments on this one. Not all golf groomsmen gifts are created equal and this one deserves to be mentioned.

Game Day Picks Are Important
You get your fantasy teams picked out as fast as they're ready to be made, so why not get the drop on picking your groomsmen too? We're not saying to rush into any decisions, but earlier is better in this situation (just ask your soon to be wife!). In fact a little story about a guy getting married and calling up one of his old school friends, who remembered him to be something of a big practical joker, and asking him to be best man shows just how important not rushing is. Anyways the best man got a hold of the groom's lottery ticket prior to the wedding and jotted down the numbers. He held onto them for his best man speech and announced that all of them as friends followed the lottery and he was going to read off today's winning numbers. So as he's reading them off the groom is really starting to get excited until finally he jumps up and yells "I'm rich!" and starts running around showing it off. His wife is excited too, congratulating him and telling him how happy she is that they are rich. The groom just asks "we're rich? No I'm rich, and I've been sleeping with your sister for the last two months!" as he runs down and grabs her sister's hand and leaves the reception. Basically sums up the idea to give thought to who you choose as groomsmen. Not necessarily ones that won't play a joke on you, but if you do just make sure not to make a fool of yourself or ruin anything. In fact if they do pull one you can get back at them with any gifts that might make a good inside joke. Getting your groomsmen personalized gifts would even let you throw a little message in there so whenever they use it they'll have to remember the joke. That's probably how any wedding day jokes would go so it's only fair! Tags: groomsmen gifts, groomsmen, gifts, groom, best man, jokes,

Ceremony Pregame Warm-up
It's the big day, and you're in the dressing room three hours before the ceremony. While future Mrs. Whatever-your-last-name-is deals with the make-up artist, what are you supposed to do? Enjoy your last few minutes of bachelorhood with a celebratory dance? Give your guys their groomsmen gifts? Read on for our pre-ceremony checklist. Pre-ceremony checklist: 1) Put on the tuxedo. This should be one of the most memorable and photographed times in your life, make sure you see the GroomStand Groom's Guide to the Tuxedo to make sure you look your best. Also, keep in mind that the dressing room is not a place for drastic grooming for the groom. Bleaching, buzzing, waxing or cutting is reserved no closer than a week out from the wedding. 2) After your groomsmen give you the thumbs-up on looking awesome, this is the best chance to present your groomsman gifts for a job well done. In these fleeting moments of bachelorhood, make the most of it by reciting a heartfelt speech about how the personalized rubber grip 13-function army knife represents your strong, dependable and everlasting friendship. On the other hand, you can use the opportunity to analyze last night's game while you break out some personalized Louisville Slugger baseball bats. Do your own personal demo on how you think Ichiro slices at balls as if he's a samurai. Wedding Tip: Anyway you present your groomsmen gifts, make sure you have fun without going overboard. The last thing you want to do is turn your ceremony pregame warm-up into a tailgate party.

All In A League Of Their Own
At least that's true when you're the Queen of England and the Duke of Edinburgh. Buckingham Palace recently unveiled 60 facts about the couple to mark their diamond wedding anniversary. The facts go as far back as their four month engagement all the way up to the present and their anniversary celebrations. It's interesting to read about the details, like say a platinum and diamond engagement ring. Or maybe reading about some special wedding guests to attend (King and Queen of Denmark, the King and Queen of Yugoslavia, the Kings of Norway, Romania and the Shah of Iran). But from all of the information about the two, one of the coolest has to be that Lieutenant Philip Mountbatten (the Duke) had not one, but two stag parties. For the first one the press were invited to tag along and then afterwards, that same night, he went with his groomsmen and the rest of his closest friends over to the Belfry Club. Nice. Now whatever gifts he got for his groomsmen were probably out of most people's leagues, but that's not to say that there aren't some cool major league ones available for us (those European leagues never get things right). Like for instance an NFL team money clip or even their own home run slugger with their name on it. Whatever the case just be relieved that you don't have to get gifts as expensive as the ones Philip did, I mean that would suck having that much money...

"Sliding Into Home - Mug First"
I have always been amazed at spaghetti western saloon-keepers who can slide a mug of beer down the length of a bar counter. How only a few drops of brew spill out of the glass as it passes rummy after rummy until reaching its final destination is truly remarkable. Mr. Tom Cocktail Cruise has got nothing on these guys. Yes, Mr. Tom Scientology Cruise can flip a bottle in the air, catch it and make a Seabreeze, but honestly that's amateur hour. I'd like to see Mr. Katie Holmes launch a mug of pilsner across a wood surface as it dodges in an out of bowls of salted nuts. To be fair to Mr. Tom Why The Hell Was I In Vanilla Sky? Cruise, I know this is not an easy trick to do. As an ex-bartender, I never had much luck with this maneuver. After several failed attempts, including one which sent a schooner flying off the bar and knocking a woman unconscious, I retired my mug shuffle board career and went back to placing beverages gently on a coaster. Then on my hunt for groomsmen gifts I stumbled across the Rawlings Home Plate Coasters. These leather coasters (6 in all) are shaped like a baseball diamond's home plate! They invite glassware to slide into them, and being a fan of America's Pastime, I am all too happy to oblige. They're perfect groomsmen gifts for guys who love sports! And if you're worried about spillage on leather, don't be. The more water marks (er, booze marks!) on the coaster, the more it will start looking like your favorite old glove. Also, each coaster can be personalized with three initials so these groomsmen gifts will make your buddies feel really special. Step to the plate, sports fan! WARNING: Practice sliding mugs into home plate filled with water first. No use wasting good beer.

"Nice Shaft, Buddy"
Phil Mickelson plays golf. I play golf. But the only thing I have in common with Lefty is man-boobs. Don't know how Phil is able to consistently sink difficult putts with two flesh pendulums swinging to and fro under the influence of gravity, but he does, defying laws of physics and draining one ball after another. Since I can't buy God given Phil Mickelson golfing ability, I can open my wallet and purchase a new putter that will help my game. That, and a sports bra. Not wanting to spend a fortune on a new club because it would just end up wrapped around a tree or drowned in a water hazard, I did some research and found a great putter at a great price at Groomstand.com. Yes, this club works great for giving as groomsmen gifts, but you don't need a pending wedding to walk around with a great putter in your bag. Its handcrafted hickory shaft will transport you back in time to the glory day of St. Andrews when drunken, one-toothed duffers named Angus walked the course. The balanced zinc alloy head comes in either black or brass and each club shaft can be engraved with a personal message so you can get it marked as yours or show your guys you remember their names when you give these as groomsmen gifts. Mine says, Man-Boob Mulligan. Also, don't feel you have to limit your putter play to the big course. Feel free to break out Ol' Hickory for a rousing round of miniature golf. Show those snot nosed pre-teens waiting behind you who's the boss as you, with laser-like accuracy, nail that clown in the mouth for a hole-in-one. I sure did. No one screws with Man-Boob Mulligan!
